Full Moon Paddle
A evening paddle adventure, with sunset and moonrise, on Lake Pleasant
Essential Tour Information:
Typically offered three nights per month, launch time varies throughout the seasons based on time of sunset. Typical tours nights are one night before moon is full, night of full moon, and one night after. Call to make a reservation or find out which slots are open today!
Tour launches from either the 4 lane boat ramp at the north end of Lake Pleasant, or at the end of Desert Tortoise road. Launch location varies by date and exact location will be included in confirmation email.
Plan for 3-4 hours from start to finish. Time spent on the water is typically around 3 hours but if you wish to spend more or less time, talk with your guide about your specific recreational or educational goals. The trip itself will be short enough to accommodate new and inexperienced paddlers, covers approximately 4 miles of paddling, and typically includes a stop on an island or shore half way to allow swimming and snacks as well as for slower paddlers to catch up.
We keep it simple so pricing is 105 per adult and 95 per child including all necessary transportation costs, taxes and fees and charitable contributions. We do offer many specials as well though so please call for any current group discounts or other specials.
Those 12 and under must be in a tandem with an adult. There isn't necessarily a minimum age, but children must be a minimum of 50 lbs to go on a tour.
Make sure to bring:
Clothing appropriate for the weather, plus water shoes/sandals/old sneakers as your feet will get wet. Footwear must be worn at all times. Sunglasses, sunscreen, towel, camera, medications, lip balm, hat and anything else you want to bring, but remember, it will get wet! Dry bags may be rented for a small fee if needed.

Come paddle the quiet, friendly Lake Pleasant at sunset. Seeing the desert under the evening light from the water of the lake is a great way to cool down in warm months and a excellent way to feel the warmth of the water in the winter. Obviously this trip is limited to the three nights a month when the moon is near full so it is limited. Come paddle with our experienced guides and learn a little about paddling, a little about the environment, and a little about a very neat desert environment.
Tour pricing includes all boats and safety equipment, transportation, skilled guides and instructors, and all taxes and fees that go to help preserve, protect, and improve the access to all the beautiful outdoor spaces Arizona has to offer.
